Oldest players to set a career high in points?

Mark Giordano is 35 and just set a new career high in points, which made me wonder if there are any other players that have accomplished that feat in their NHL old age

I know Deryk Engelland did the same last year so I'm sure there must be more guys out there who put up a career year past 35.

Edit: Sportsnet broadcast just said 36 other players have put up a career year after 35, which is way more than I would have thought. I wonder who they are.

Doesn't quite get there, but the Wizard. Ray Whitney...83 points as a 34 year old in 2007. His three highest point getting seasons: ages 34, 36, 39.

Martin St. Louis had his 37 year old season halved by a lockout...but he won the Art Ross and had his best PPG mark of his career...

Whitney, to me, is a testament to how much better todays league is to small forwards.

Gordie Howe - a career high of 103 points at age 40. That wasn't anywhere close to Howe's best season though (primarily due to it being still a very good year, combined with a longer schedule, a league-wide increase in scoring, and more weaker teams thanks to the recent doubling of the NHL).

Phil Goyette - set a career high 78 points in 1970 at age 36 (I'm guessing he got a ton of ice time on the relatively new St. Louis Blues - he had spent the first decade of his careers on the Habs and Rangers).

Bob Nevin - set a career high 72 points in 1975 at age 36. He was more of a defensive forward - maybe he was used in more of an offensive role on the Kings?

Mathieu Schnieder - set a career high 59 points in 2006 at age 36. Like many other players that year, loaded up on PP points when the league was cracking down on penalties.

Ken Schinkel - set a career high 52 points in 1969 at age 36. No idea who he is.

Ron Francis was 32 when he had is 119 points season, Boychuck was 35 for is 116 points season, but that an expansion case.

Martin St-Louis post 28 was quite more impressive, is biggest in point total was 31 and won the Ross at 37.

37 players had their career highs after the age of 35 according to Sportsnet today during the Yotes/Flames game. They didn't name them naturally...

I'm assuming of that 37, it would include names like Helmut Balderis...plus guys like Larionov and Fetisov...which isn't technically wrong, but it also isn't the point of the thread I imagine...

came to say phil goyette but was beaten to the punch.

ivan boldirev was 34 and in his second last season when he had his career high. ullman was 35. very recently, we had chris kunitz at 34 too.

if you include playoffs, jean ratelle at age 36. four fewer regular season points than his career high, but put up 16 playoff points/12 games instead of the pitiful one point in six games from his lester b. pearson season.
