Could anyone enlighten me as to what numbers these legends wore? It seems this info is quite hard to come by. All except Taylor played for the Habs and it would've been great to see this early time in the team's history commorated by retiring some of their numbers, I only wish I knew what they were...

    Cyclone Taylor
    Newsy Lalonde
    Joe Malone
    Didier Pitre
    Odie Cleghorn

Can't help with Fred Taylor but the Habs started wearing numbers in 1911.

    Newsy Lalonde - #4 from 1911-1922
    Joe Malone - #7 from 1917-1919, #11 in 1922-23, #9 in 1923-24
    Didier Pitre - #5 from 1911-1922, #10 in 1922-23
    Odie Cleghorn - #6 from 1918 to 1920, #8 in 1920-21, #7 from 1921-23, #6 from 1923-1925
