I'll go out on a limb and say:

Montoya

Phaneuf

Crosby

Crosby

Malkin Ovechkin Crosby
Phaneuf Suter
Montoya

Here's a guess at what Leafaholix will say (he replies to everything):

Goalie - Pogge - Canada will have several goalies injured in camp, and Pogge will be called in, and rescue the day. Once Sutter sees him in training camp he will realize the error of his ways, and Pogge will be the starter.

Defence - Vorobiev. A no brainer. He's playing in the Russian League, he's a Leaf pick....duh.

Forward - Jan Steber. I still can't believe those idiots in the WJC pool haven't picked him yet. A natural sniper if I've ever not seen one.

MVP - Steber. By far the most talented player at the tournament.

Exact same for me!!! I was going to go with the same guys, no kidding. Maybe Crosby will be the best forward though. But Ovechkin is 2 years older, so he's got the edge on that.

Or maybe he's just better right now.

No offense to Phaneuf or any of Canada's defensemen, but I think Ryan Suter will get the better chance to shine at this tournament....especially if last year was a precursor for the way this team will be coached. Suter may see close to 30 minutes a night on USA's blueline, for good or bad.

Suter will log a ton of minutes that's for sure. There's even less of a veteran presence this time around. I'm hoping he gets involved in the offense a bit more.

Everybody is so high on montoya and schwarz. Wow, i've always noticed that the WJC is the tourney where little known goalies explode. I don't know who to pick, but i can't wait till i see a new goalie come out of nowhere and i wouldn't be suprised to see that happen.
