It's different when a skilled player plays without intensity, cause they are still skilled. Khaira without intensity is just pure bad.

Eberle had two assists in 13 playoff games. He had the intensity of a dude playing pond hockey, yet he was in his first NHL playoff run. For all his skill, he brought nothing to that playoff run and it was embarrassing

General breakdown as we push into the back half of this playoff race.

Divisional Games = 13 games

Wild Card Hopefuls = 8 games
Remaining Total = 33 Games

*As of Today*

1. NSH 2. ARI

*All Star Break + Bye Week*

1. CGY 2. STL 3. CGY 4. ARI 5. SJS 6. NSH 7. CHI 8. TBL 9. CAR 10. BOS 11. MIN 12. LA

*Trade Deadline*

1. ANA 2. VGK 3. WPG 4. NSH 5. DAL 6. CHI 7. CBJ 8. WPG 9. NYI 10. PHI
11. WSH 12. OTT 13. TBL 14. ANA 15. COL 16. SJS 17. ANA 18. VGK 19. CGY

Gives us kind of an idea of which games are going to be particularly key (the 4 point swings).
21 of our remaining 33 are against divisional opponents and directly competing teams in the hunt for the last two WC spots.
Pacific logjam specifically has 3 x CGY, 2 x ARI, 2 x VGK that'll be huge.
Including Game 82 being EDM vs CGY on April 1st. If that has "win and you're in" implications I might have a heart attack in anticipation.
Not to mention a good chunk of "spoiler" games (dangerous) if things keep tracking like this with 2 x SJS, 1 x LA, 3 x ANA

Anyways, just a rundown to kind of highlight the weeks to come.
Imperative to stay in this race now rather than chase later. 8 spots never seems like enough, the logjam is unbelievable.

Not saying it wasn't, just with a guy like Eberle there is at least the hope there that he can pot a goal or two. With Khaira when he plays with zero intensity you just hope he spends zero time on the ice.

But if a one-dimensional player who is expected to put up points isn't doing that, you would hope that he makes a positive difference in terms of dedication to the other facets of the game. Eberle brought absolutely nothing and was a net negative on the ice.
