So, I guess with me being GDT maker this time, I would be in charge of throwing this up.

Well, yeah. Game. Cool. Let's go.

PS: If anybody finds the expected lineup for the game, could you post it here? The one on the oilers site doesn't look greatly up-to-date, and I would greatly appreciate it in my GDT-making.

I was unaware of this.

As am I.

I don't mind a Pre-GDT if we're so long between games, would have rathered this went up yesterday actually. If we're doing back-to-backs, no reason. I'll leave discretion to whoever wants to throw them up.

I'll grab the lineups for you, posted them somewhere in the PGT of last game.

I thought we all agreed we didn't like these pre game thread things.

Lol why? It's nice to get some updates before game day.

Murray, Parros, Drewiske, Pacioretty, Emelin, Brière and Prust.

all out for Montreal with injury.

These are the lines yesterday with Eberle on a maintenance day:
Yakupov - RNH - Gagner; Perron - Arcobello - Hemsky; Smyth - Gordon - Jones; Gazdic - Acton - Brown

Today, with Eberle and Smyth sitting out:
Yakupov - RNH - Hemsky; Perron - Arcobello - Jones; Grebeshkov - Gordon - Gagner; Gazdic - Acton - Brown

D-pairings were likely 77/19, 5/2, 21/15

Dubnyk starts.

I think Eberle and Smyth both play tomorrow, but I dunno. Pitlick was recalled.

---

Montreal practice lines:

Bournival-Plekanec-Gionta
Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
Moen-Desharnais-Bourque
Blunden-White- Holland

Markov - Subban
Gorges - Diaz
Tinordi - Boullion

Price starts.

Injured Habs: Murray, Parros, Drewiske, Pacioretty, Emelin, Brière and Prust.

PGTs are the least of this teams worries. Believing in them altering a win or loss is right up there with the tooth fairy.

Hope Ebs is good to go. Gonna be a tough task just without Hall. Mind you, Montreal is pretty best up too.

Having watched the habs, and specifically the Galchenyuk- Eller - Gallagher line play a fewgames this year makes me jealous as an oilers far.

They epitomize youthful exuberance, but show intelligence and restraint in doing so. Bright future as a line

If Eberle plays we have a shot at a win, if he's out I don't think we'll be able to put together much of a fight.

I think the pp will look a lot different tomorrow an we'll see Belov shoot a lot more because that's what Eakins said they were focusing on

I think Eberle will play and Smyth will sit. Gagner will play next home game.

Are we 1-0 with Grebeshkov in the lineup?

16. As the Avalanche prepare for what should be a great game in Pittsburgh on Monday, I asked a couple of scouts about the biggest difference between their young players and Edmonton's. The No. 1 answer was "Colorado's check." The other response was, "They really come back to get the puck, so their defencemen don't have to handle it much."

From Elliote Friedman's 30 Thoughts today.

Smyth is out, he's on the way to Edmonton.

Tell me more.

... or just log off. Yeah that's fine.

At any rate, Gene Principe concurs.

@GenePrincipe
Taylor Hall will have company in Edm. Ryan Smyth is flying home.Smyth didn't skate this morning and will be looked at by team's medical staff

Just finishing up the GDT before I hit the books to study for my midterm tomorrow, coming along excellent (despite mild time constraints), I think you fellas will love it.

Looks like Pitlick has to draw in tomorrow. If Eberle doesn't play then a defenseman will have to play forward unless they make another call-up.

So Pitlick for Smyth?

Could be useful against Montreal, let's hope he continues with the same style of play he had in the preseason.
