Canuck hunting
I like this one. Gravel is worthwhile as a depth D and certainly better than Gryba, younger, faster (not fast) and can hit. Has the size and plays with some edge. Obviously was not getting much look in LA due to their D depth.

If not him as the #7D than who?
Bear, Stanton, Lowe and himself will be fighting for it. Could be a rotation of guys, which would be fine by me.

Also potential that waivers there is something available for that slot too. Of that group Bear is the best offensive guy, but not exactly the most experienced guy. Could see them grabbing a guy that's in that 23-25 age range with offensive potential that just hasn't been given a shot.

That's the difference between Gryba and Gravel. One can't skate and the other can. You can figure out which is which. ;)

He seems like the kind of 7D that doesn't push your team in a positive direction but won't hurt the team when he is on the ice either. I feel like "safe" is his style or game completely.
