Im to the point where all i want is an NHL calibre team. I wonder if the Oilers would beat the Oil barons. Not sure.

Jets fan here…just wondering if there's a consensus as to what's wrong with the team. Is it coaching, goaltending or something else?

Concensus? Very doubtfull.

They are going from one system to another and there are some growing pains.

The post Horcoff era where everything cant be blamed on Horcoff isnt suiting alot of players very well.

Defense and goaltending are far below average. That's as simple an observation as is possible. That was true this summer and is still true.

MacT didn't address those deficiencies adequately and the team is now reaping the "rewards" of those inadequacies.

There are other issues... new coach/new systems that the team has to acclimatize to and some questionable coaching methods plus a lack of size and overall "grit/truculence" in the lineup... but to me the simple and most important fact is that half the team on the ice at any given time (dmen and goalies) are mediocre.
