I don't see how he would make less than Tarasenko, Kuznetsov or Johanson. I would say that Tarasenko is a good comparison, keeping in mind that Tarasenkos contract was 2 years ago and the cap has went up a bit since then.

No RFA is comparable to McDavid so no, he didn't screw up the market.

On the other hand, a Draisaitl overpay could screw up the market with similar level RFA's due for contracts soon.
