To Oilers:
Ghost Bear
Racliffe
Raffl (salary retained to help Oilers stay under cap)

To Flyers:
Klefbom

Oilers are deep on Defense and D prospects and need quality wingers.
Flyers want to get rid of Ghost and he needs a change of scenery.

Raffl gives a quality 3rd line winger that can play up in the lineup. Ratcliffe a quality winger prospect that can score goals. Klefbom helps balance out the Flyers D-lines this year and in the future.

Dude, you're asking for our top LHD. Who is on a sweetheart contract. Signed until 2023. This isn't remotely fair to the Oilers.

What about Ghost and a lottery protected 1st.

Edmonton isn't in the market for protected 1sts or prospects. They aren't going to trade their top LHD who eats minutes. The Oilers aren't in a perpetual rebuild anymore. They're finally moving forward.

What Edmonton is shopping for is a 3C and a top 6 winger. They aren't going to trade Klefbom for those pieces. He isn't realistically available. I mean, everyone has a price I suppose but I don't think it would be worth it for the Flyers to trade the players it would take to pry Klefbom out of Edmonton.

He is so important to the D that when he gets hurt (which is often enough) the team's hopes for the playoffs usually fade into the dust. The Oilers DO have more depth now on D than ever before. That is true. However they can't afford to trade away Klefbom now.

What happened to Ghost? I don’t watch much Flyer hockey.

I remember a time he was untouchable and, at least on HF, was regarded higher than Klefbom.

So...OP is a Flyers fan, sees a player he likes, and here are the spare parts he's willing to part with for that player. Zero regard for the other team's needs or situation. Zero. This is what's wrong with hfboards(and most message boards).

Saw a plethora of young talented D for Oilers (Bouchard, Broberg, etc), saw an Oilers need, offered a talented player that needs a change of scenery and could play same role as player he's replacing plus a B+ goal scoring winger prospect- another Oilers need, plus a quality middle six winger (another Oilers need) on a contract that would fit within their cap.

Good try.

We’re looking to make the playoffs and make a run, we’re not punting that to downgrade defencemen and pick up an OK prospect.

As a Flyers fan, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Which is why it would never happen. Oilers say hell no.

Asking for a teams BEST defenceman while they are in a playoff dogfight and offering a collection of "stuff" you can live without won't end well.

-Would you really be willing to playing Ghost 25 minutes a night in all situations? Because that's what Klefbom plays.
-Ratcliffe has 12 pts in 41 games in the AHL this year. While he definitely still has room to grow and still has the potential to be a good player, calling him a B+ prospect seems like a reach.
-Middle six implies that someone that wouldn't look out of place on the second line. Would you really qualify a 31 year old with a career high of 31 points a second line player?

All of that isn't to say those pieces don't have value, just that you're way overstating it.
