Yak not being on the 5 on 3 is bad coaching, you should always have your best shooter on it. Doesn't make any logical sense.

Didn't exactly inspire a ton of confidence. But hey, a regulation win! Might as well enjoy it.

Usually a coach doesn't leave the same unit out for an entire 2 minute 5-on-3 PP when they display absolute incompetence. Starting to yearn for the Hemsky led PP's of yester-decade.

Taylor Hall just walked out of Edmonton dressing room. Not a doctor but no major limp and didn't seem to be overly favouring his left knee. Good news!

Glad to see Dubnyk finally have a strong game.

Sure hope Hall is ok and it's nothing major.

With this win -- we're out of lottery territory in the standings!

(Hey, you gotta take the victories where you can, eh?)

The Oilers are the Western team in the bottom 9 of the league.

EDIT: Actually, the bottom 8 are ALL Eastern teams. Wow...

Nugent-Hopkins is our MVP. Impacts the game in such a huge way.

Game balls: Nuge, Eberle, Dubnyk, Petry

Goat: Hall (pre-injury) was way out of sorts, 4th line, PP

Perron is what we've needed on this team for awhile, Yak looked great.

Lots not to like about the game, but a win is a win and there were positives today.

The story here is DOOOOBY.
Dubnyk is back, and it couldn't have been at a better time.

Let's get a win streak going, boys!!!

RNH was awesome.
Eberle was all over the friggin place, make great plays everywhere, especially the D-zone.
Belov was very strong.
Petry was good.
Perron was awesome, as always.
Gordon was solid.
Acton did all you can expect from a 4th line centre--no complaints.

How was Yak?

Dubnyk with some deciding saves won us this game! Rnh and Petry was good too!

(Its deadly quiet in the dubie threads last 2 games:rant::))

Dubnyk played well, especially in the second and third. Good on him.

I think 'stealing' the game is a bit much. Really tough to argue the Senators dominated the Oilers. Definitely no softie against doobie in this game. Just flukey bad luck.

Power play needs to improve. Swarm defence played better.

#TaylorHall leaves the Oilers room with a brace on his left knee. Doesn 't look good! #nhl

May I ask where you went to med school, since you've stated this as fact like 10 times already? Hell, I'll be surprised if you've even finished high school yet.

I work in the medical field and don't see how it's as bad as many of the fans are saying. But in saying that I haven't assessed Hall and dont know what his ROM is like, where there's pain and what type of pain it is, and if there is any bruising/swelling.
