Not sure why this is difficult to understand. I think trading Risto without another RHD anywhere in the system would be idiotic. To overcome that would require a similar level of idiocy from Edm. I would doubt highly such a price would be considered. But that's what it would take to be a good idea from the Buffalo perspective.

No, it wouldn’t. He’s either available or he isnt. If he isn’t, fine. If he is, there’s a reasonable price to work out. He’s a pretty good powerplay defenceman that doesn’t provide much offense at even strength and has a lot of work to do defensively. He’s not Victor Hedman, or even close.
