WOW okay I was skeptical before but now I am in awe. How did you get so smart to know Neal will not score 2 goals a game the rest of the year? How are you able to say Oilers will not go 82-0 at this stage? You should go work on the stock market with your ability to see the future. Amazing!!!

They’ve played bad teams, and teams that were in a back to back game with a backup goalie.

That being said, 4-0 is 4-0 and if you’re competing for a playoff spot you have to beat the bad teams. Playing McDavid and Draisaitl 25 mins a game will also wear them down over and 82 game season.

That gets said every season and yet both their points per game increases after the All-Star break.

You can get away with it when your younger but it’s still more wear and tear on the body. Granted, not facing the playoff grind hockey the past 2 seasons has probably helped keep them fresh as well.

Bottom line oilers need to get more forwarddepth within the next couple of seasons when they get some cap space so they don’t have to play almost 25 mins a night every regular season game.

Other fans would like us to boastful of our very fortunate beginning of the season so they can shut it down. Problem is, we ain’t boasting, the Oilers fan base is the most realistic about our prospects with a D full of rookies and forward corps with more 1st year NHLers than a prospects game.
