Nah its somewhat related. As long as its not a rival team its okay imo. Nothing too controversial about Arizona, that and that would be a really cool jersey. Is it for the Katchina style one?

It needs the red forearms and the white letters.

I'm a big fan of that template. I have said multiple times in this thread, that I think we should have kept black so that we had a unique identity compared to the Leafs/Canadiens, and every other Canadian team.

I also believe that a good team identity requires a jersey that if the crest was removed, you would instantly know which team it belongs to. O6 teams that have been around for decades can get away with the throwback look because blue with basic white lines has been cemented in the mind of the hockey fan as being a Leafs jersey. It's one reason why Tampa's rebrand was awful. They are rolling with Toronto jerseys. What the Lightning did is almost as absurd as if we put our logo on the Coyotes 90's Kachina jersey and called it our own.

It's why I hated Carolina's rebrand. They had a perfect jersey. If they wanted to modify their red so that they had their own shade of red, that's fine. Taking away the warning signals on the striping was a terrible move. They have brought them back now, but they aren't very evident.

I've probably posted this concept here before, but this would be the perfect set of jerseys for the Senators. I don't care all that much which logo is on it. I think that template is perfect. It would contribute to our team having a unique visual identity that is exclusive to us. That is something we've been lacking for a decade, and something we damaged with our step away from black primaries.

Honestly, let's just drop the Spartan. It makes no sense whatsoever as a logo, conceptually speaking it is a relic from 90's edgyness (we need to have some from of aggressiveness associated with our new hockey team).

Let's get into the 21st century and be ok with not having a 100% faked and forced logo.

I do love the look, I just think it's time to move on.

It wasn't really about edginess. The Spartan was supposed to be an over the top theme for marketing our team. Bruce Firestone wanted to dress the security/ushers at the arena in roman garbs, but the companies they contracted out with wouldn't agree to it. He wanted the CTC to be like Disneyland.

At this point, the spartan has been consistently associated with our team for it's entire existence. When the logo was first changed from the pre-launch Peace Tower logo to the Spartan logo, there were articles in the papers that showed fans having a negative viewpoint of the logo. Regardless of whether people thought it was appropriate branding when the team was first introduced, after 20+ years it now makes sense because it's what people associate with Ottawa hockey.

It always surprised me that they sell the ASG jerseys.

Obviously people must be buying them if they bother with the production, but like, who? I've never once seen one worn.
