As you could have read in my previous thread (fantasy league), I've started (well actually me and a friend) this new fantasy keeper league so mock drafts don't suddenly end and will actually have a further purpose to really prove which GM has build the best team:

We will do a random snake draft (1-30, 30-1, 1-30, etc), this way teams will end up more balanced and more competitive.
The rules for the league are simple, just read them at the official IFHL site. The rules have a fair share in how to draft, therefor read the point structure that is explained somewhere in the middle.

The Draft rules:
* Every GM is required to PM the next one on the clock.
* A GM will have 12 hours to make his official selection, he has the rights to alter it as long as the next GM hasn't made his yet. May the 12 hours been passed without noticing, we will skip over to the next ne on the list. I'd like the draft to run smooth and fast, which is why I ask GM's to make up their mind on who to pick before it is their official turn. Pm-ing GM's that are on the clock would be nice, but is not required.
* If you somehow can't or won't be available for a few days, let us know and include a list of players you want us to pick for you.
* Each team has to draft at least:
- 12 forwards
- 6 defensemen
- 2 goalies
- 5 prospects
* You can not draft players/prospect who haven't been drafted in reallife yet, so no Crosby and Ovechkin crap. You have the possibility to draft or trade for them when the 2004 rookie draft gets hold at the end of the season. You can however, add or trade rookie draft picks.
* Trades are allowed and would have to be done as followed: One party posts the trade in the thread, and the other party confirms it by PM. When the draft has finished trades would have to be announced at the official site.
* READ THE RULES, this is essential. The league will also include a salary cap, this is yet to be determinded but will be between 50 and 55. Prospects with no NHL experience what so ever, and thus not have an NHL contract yet, will not count towards the Cap.
* The criteria for being a prospect are the same as they are in the NHL.
* Remember that this is all about fun and competition. I won't tolerate any name callings or any other kind of childish behavior. This will result in an immediate penalty and you could end up getting fired because of it. Though I don't expect to use this rule..
* When a GM missis out on two straight picks, he will automaticly be fired from IFHL. We currently have 2 posters waiting in the wings, so we won't hesitate to improve our league and replace you with either of them. Beware..
I have appointed 3 assistant GM's for the draft, being Spacelobster, Joseph_Balej and Mike Modano. They will help me with the following:
a) Alert people when they have exceeded the time limit, and tell the next person in the draft order to select.
b) Assist me in PMing people to let them know that they are up to pick.
c) Alert people when they have picked someone who has already been taken.

NOTE: This is a fantasy keeper league; it goes through next season, and the next one and the one after that one, etc, etc. We ask you to realise what this is and don't just sign up because you can make a funny word out of IFHL.
When the draft has been complete, make sure you have MSN downloaded and installed on your computer. This is not required, but it is the prime and fastest way to discuss trades and/or to get to know eachother a bit. If you can't or somehow won't, then e-mail is always another option and there might be an official trade discussion thread somewhere as well.
