1st round, 9th overall - Quinn Hugues (drafted 1st round: 7th)
1st round, 28th overall - Ty Dellandrea (drafted 1st round: 13th)
1st round, 29th overall - Serron Noel (drafted 2nd round: 34th)
2nd round, 39th overall - Jacob Bernard-Docker (drafted 1st round: 26th)
2nd round, 48th overall - Jay O'Brien (drafted 1st round: 19th)
3rd round, 70th overall - Albin Eriksson (drafted 2nd round: 44th)
3rd round, 90th overall - Luka Burzan (not drafted!)
4th round, 101th overall - Joey Keane (drafted 3rd round: 88th)
5th round, 132nd overall - Declan Chisholm (drafted 5th round: 150th)
6th round, 163rd overall - Dennis Busby (drafted 5th round: 145th)

Excellent value overall. Still no idea why Burzan wasn't drafted at all.

You killed it there. And IMO, Noel slipped too far and there is no reason why Burzan was left on the board.

Really thought Jenkins would go early to late 3rd, oh well...

And Samuelsson, at that point I did go according to lists BPA

Pretty spot on on the rest.

David Gustafsson: Drafted 60, I took him at 62 (+2)
Justin Almeida: Drafted 129, I took him at 92 (-37)
Patrick Khodorenko: Undrafted, I took him at 123 (-94, ouch)
Riley Damiani: Drafted 137, I took him at 152 (+15)
Tim Berni: Drafted 159, I took him 154 (-5)
Veini Vehviläinen: Drafted 173, I took him at 185 (+12)
Dawson Barteaux: Drafted 168, I took him at 216 (+48)

overall: -59

A pretty big negative thanks to Patrick Khodorenko falling through the draft, but I'm happy that all my other guys were drafted, and particularly happy about Damiani, Vehviläinen and Barteaux. Barteaux just looked ''right'' to me when I saw him. It was strange that there was essentially no discussion anywhere about him given his playing time with a first rounder.

Didn't know Samuelsson went undrafted, must have missed all the posts of people begging for him to be invited at our camp :sarcasm:

Shows that teams are learning

58 Bahl drafted 55 +3
99 Fortier drafted 59 +40
115 kotkov Not drafted
135 Killinen drafter 104 +31
151 Harris drafted 71 MTL! +80
180 Muranov not drafted
183 Blumel not drafted

Considering what I had to work with getting 4 player pick before 104 is pretty good. I can see why Kotkov was falling but I did expect him to get drafted... Going with Vegas I want to stay away from D and G but next year I’ll stick to the list regardless of team and position because I would have ended up with Bahl, Romanov, Dostal, killinen, Harris and probably 2 undrafted ... there a bit of luck too because if I would have gotten the players I was targeting Lauko, Stotts it would have been went the other way around...

My results:

11. Vitali Kravtsov - went #9... and some of you said I was reaching :p

12. Brady Tkachuk - went #4. Good value.

41. Jesse Ylonen - went #35. Another good value pick.

43: Liam Foudy - went #18. Awesome value pick.

72: Niklas Nordgren - drafted #74. I was close here.

103: Dmitry Zavgorodniy - I guess I reached here as he went #198.

134: Xavier Bouchard - Another reach for me as he went #185.

196: Jordan Kooy - went #208, so a bit of a reach.

So I think I did pretty good. Fantastic value with my first 4 picks, took Nordgren roughly the same spot as Chicago. Clearly, scouts didn’t value my last 3 picks as much as I did.

Final Results Post-Draft

25th: Jared McIsaac (LD) Went 36th to Detroit (-11)
52nd: Jakub Lauko (LW) Went 77th to Boston (-25)
83rd: Axel Andersson (RD) Went 57th to Boston (+26)
118th: Oskar Bäck (C/RW) Went 75th to Dallas (+43)
149th: Oliver Okuliar (LW) Undrafted (-68)
209th: Brandon Saigeon (C) Went 140th to Colorado (+69)
211th: Caleb Everett (RD) Undrafted (-6)

Looking back, I'm still a bit surprised that McIsaac fell out of the 1st round. Seems like a totally safe pick for a reliable defenseman. I found Boston taking my 2nd and 3rd round picks in reverse order kinda humorous. I am also quite shocked that no one took a chance on Okuliar considering he had a very strong showing at the world juniors.

2 Svechnikov - Pretty easy pick
42. Cole Fonstad - In hingsight this was a reach, but I don't care. 128 to MTL 86 difference.
73. Milos Roman - 122 to Calgary 49 difference.
104. Tyler Weiss - 109 to Colorado, fine pick. 5 difference.
166. Christian Lindberg - Undrafted :(
197. Martin Pospisil - 105 to calgary, that was awesome value, 92 picks difference.
214. Artu Nevasaari - Undrafted too.

I still feel really strongly about my draft, I really think NHL team slept on Cole Fonstad and Milos Roman, theyre both going to explode next year in the WHL.

Im still surprised Caleb Everett was undrafted, he's the kind of player that has a game NHL teams love.

The pros have no idea who they missed out on from my list. Just wait until I get a scouting job because all those players end up being franchise changing players. Or they all suck and I look like a big bum.

I actually look like a bum more often than not.

Except that one time I loved Forsberg and annoyed everyone with him.

Goes to show that I should inform myself earlier. Wilde ended up #25 on my list... behind Lundkvist, Sandin, Dellandrea who were all ahead on my list. Oh well. Still surprised Wise went that late though. Fehervary kinda saves the day I guess! And once again, I swing and miss in the later rounds. I'm actually at +8 (because of Fehervary) if not for those 2 late picks.

20-Bode Wilde - D : 41 (-21)
51-Jake Wise - C : 69 (-18)
82-Ryan O'Reilly - RW : 98 (-16)
113-Martin Fehérvary - D : 46 (+67)
144-Simon Johansson - D : 148 (-4)
165-Michal Kvasnica - W : UD
175-Nikita Rozhkov - W : UD
