Thanks. Started with a double. Played the last 8 holes 1 under with two birdies and 1 bogey.

Depends on the drive you want.

Den Brae won best of the Lakes Region. I play there once a week, pretty open course.

Owls Nest is nice. Mount Washington was fun the last I played but it’s been over a decade. Liked Maplewood, too.

Most of those are a drive from N. Conway but a great way to explore the state.

I haven't played it, but the Wentworth Inn in Jackson where we got married this summer has what looks to be a nice course. On the shorter side at just under 5600 yards from the whites. 36-34=70. It's about 10-15 minutes from north Conway, depending on where you're staying.

41-41 yesterday, just a few putts I struck poorly. Had a crazy birdie though, pulled a wedge left, right into the side of the rock wall next to the green, came off it, usually it flies over to the left side but this one was truly bizarre, it spun back and I had about a 15 footer and drained er

    Splurge round tomorrow

40-43 for an 83 on the weekend. That's my best round to date.

Starting to get the hang of this game... Also, I think i golf better after a few (several) beers.

A few years ago I was struggling to crack 100... Now I'm usually shooting 86-88. One day I'll hopefully crack 80, haha. Up until 2016 I would probably golf 2-3 times a year, now I golf pretty much twice a week.

good solid score and keep in mind, the overwhelming majority of those on the golf course don`t crack 100, they may say they do but.........

Missed a tricky 10-12 footer for bird today to break 80 but wasn`t meant to be at this course. Pricey but worth the splurge

I took a peek at the course - it's phenomenal!! What a beautiful course. I saw what you meant about the splurge too. I remember being in Hawaii on a det and some of my Navy friends going up to play at Princeville, and I thought it was crazy expensive then at $110 (well, in 99, with three small kids, it really WAS expensive!)

85 this morning. Almost beat my brother for the first time ever but I choked after he told me I was leading him by a stroke after 9.

They have an "Island" rate for those who reside here, it`s $160 taxes in but I don`t regret it, real fun day, terrific course, I was 1.5 feet from a hole in one on #10, short par 3 Island hole then immediately gave that back and then some with a double on 11

Shot 81 yesterday with a truly bizarro round, 2 birds, a triple and two doubles, this game never fails to amaze, frustrate

I just started playing seriously this summer. My best shot is on my local courses 18th. 135 yds par 3. Hit my shot with the perfect trajectory. It was at sunset so it was hard to see, but the ball landed just short of the hole and rolled to 2 inches from the hole. Tap in birdie. I guess Ican play for 20 more years without coming that close to an ace again!

another inconsistent round yesterday, 44/39, while our course is tough all around, the back nine is generally regarded as the far more difficult nine yet I just can`t get outta the gate well this year

Club championship today, rare rain here in Victoria, didn`t quite make the A class which is perfectly fine with me, sitting currently with a 9.8 handicap......

9.8 and you are not in the A flight? Is there a championship flight?

-1 today as family scramble, 4th place. Had a 340 downhill drive on the last hole but used brothers 305 ( I had a sandtrap in the way). First hole, snake a 40 foot birdie. Outside of that solid, buy unremarkable shots... we really struggled 3-8 on the from 9 and were comfortably par the rest.

There is, they consider it 0-8:loony:

Anyways, played solid in the rain, posted an 80 although I struggled on the front yet again, went 42-38, everything I did wrong on the front I did right on the back. Only about 30 ish golfers sitting in the B division, I left pretty quick with about 3 groups to still come in and was sitting in top 8 gross score, 2nd in top net. Tee off in a few hrs today, we shall see how it goes. Played with 2 guys who both arrived with caddies and took waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long before every shot and putt.

Weren`t fun to play with, far too businesslike for a local clubbie, the guy whose card I was looking after shot 91 and the other wasn`t far behind.

Both of them simply wound too tight, today I play with two guys I know reasonably well who are both super relaxed dudes so while I don`t know how I`ll play, I`ll at least be playing with two nice partners who won`t show up with bloody caddies
