I'm ready with my pick, but because I'm in 2 picks, I'll PM my top 2 choices to MarkovsKnee in case I might not be available whenever Toene replies!

2. Chicago - Ivan Demidov (W) - SKA (MHL)
22. Chicago (from TB): Andrew Basha (W) - Medicine Hat (WHL)
34. Chicago: Charlie Elick (RD) - Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL)
51. Chicago (from Phil via LAK): Spencer Gill (RD) - Rimouski Oceanic (QMJHL)
61. Chicago (from Vancouver): Julius Miettinen (C) - Everett Silvertips (WHL)
66. Chicago: Adam Kleber (RD) - Lincoln Stars (USHL)
71. Chicago (from OTT): Leon Muggli (LD) - EV Zug (NL)
148. Chicago (from Nash): Mael Lavigne (W) - Victoriaville Tigres (QMJHL)

Let's go. Chicago just added size, and probably a very good bottom liner for years to come with Lavigne, he's also gonna be ready sooner than most of these other scrubs.

Chicago is going to have a really good draft again with all those high picks. 7 picks in top 75 is insane.

I took him last year in the mock draft and he took his game to an other level during the playoffs. Knowing you know him, I would have take him before Verdon
I always have a few overage pet project. Andrighetto, Leason, Sharangovich, Sidorov, Sokolov, etc. This year there's these two and Romani that I really like.

And now that he just got picked, Wakely.
@A Loyal Dog was pretty concerned someone was going to grab him before his pick. It's hard to know where he's going to go. I thought Fowler was going 2nd round, and he went 3rd. If Kempf seems destined for 4th, he probably goes in 5th round.
That's true, and I think Fowler is immensely more talented than Kempf, but then again, last year was absolutely crazy for goaltenders, IMO.

Yeah last year was a crazy deep year for goaltenders. No 1st rounders, but I think a lot of quality throughout. There should easily be 3-5 NHLers, which is a strong draft for goalies.

2025 looks even better. We'll see how next season pans out for them all, but:

Gabriel D'Aigle
Jack Ivanovic
Joshua Ravensbergen
Love Harenstam
Patrik Kerkola

I don't want to list them all, and there will be risers. It should be a strong goalie draft.

With the 156th pick in the draft, the Carolina Hurricanes select defenceman Marcus Kearsey of the Charlottetown Islanders in the QMJHL.
