Beyond the top three and then the next five or six there seems to be a precipitous drop. Svejkovsky will never play here as a regular, he's awful.

Here is last year's HFPens list:

1. Pickering (34.7%. won run-off vs POJ)
2. Joseph
3. Blomqvist (50%)
4. Poulin (31.8%)
5. O'Connor (38.1%, won run-off vs Puustinen)
6. Puustinen
7. Lindberg (35%, won run-off vs Hallander)
8. Hallander
9. Svejkovsky (54.2)
10. Broz
11. Legare
12. Gauthier
13. Ansons
14. Tankov
15. Andonovski
16. Plante
17. St Ivany
18. Murashov
19. Caulfield/Frasca/Gruden

POJ and DOC graduated. Lindberg and Hallander left for Europe and HFPens doesn't consider them to be prospects no more. Legare and Caulfield were traded.

Murashov and Belliveau had fairly big jumps. Poulin, despite a lost season, only dropped one spot. On the flip side, Tankov missed a season and gained four spots.

My top 3 are the same but with Blomqvist ahead of Pickering.

And then there's Hallander, who I still consider a prospect, at #4.

Then the other goalies at #5 and #6, Murashov ahead of Gauthier.

Ilyin, Puustinen/Poulin, and Svejkovksy round out the top 10 in that order for me.

1. Yager
2. Blomqvist
3. Pickering
4. Hallander
5. Murashov
6. Gauthier
7. Ilyin
8. (tied) Puustinen / Poulin
10. Svejkovsky

And then it's just kind of a mess after that. Belliveau, Lindberg, and Broz rated slightly higher than others.

I'm sure I'll be asked, but yes, the list above is not the same as my spreadsheet list. I have feelings and thoughts and I'm not a spreadsheet despite what my boss thinks.

I wouldn’t have included Hallander, but my top 5 would have included those three goalies lol, followed by Poulin then Puustinen..after that, I can’t really distinguish any of the rest lol, no idea

What's the definition of "prospect"?
whatever you consider a prospect. i'd personally leave someone like spencer knight out of that since he's played a considerable amount of time in the NHL. but everyone has their own standards for prospects, so no black and white rules for this.

puustinen, i'd probably consider a prospect still.

I'd have to stop and think about who our top 10 prospects are right now but I am hesitant on grading Pieniniemi because it's pretty much impossible to tell whether he's got adequate puck movement since he's in Finland and young D don't score for crap.

I think Pieniniemi should be in top 10 no?
I'd go with this. I'd even stick him at #9. Plante is such a question mark to me. Tangas could be there instead. Course...it's the Penguins prospect system and talking #10. Not like it matters much.

Ilyin way up which is a nice surprise.
