Looking at the overseas rosters & they’re just as bad relatively speaking compared to the North American ones.

I think you have to quarantine for a certain amount of time prior to joining the teams so not sure how many reinforcements will be coming.

A lot of high level domestic guys in Sweden and Finland have turned down the chance... even some guys whose only chance it might be to play a WC.

Sweden have a "strong-ish" team but they are missing a LOT of their best guys from Sweden. A lot of the guys with families etc have no interest and want their summer and down time with loved ones.

Yeah, it's probably the worst roster I have ever seen Canada send since TSN picked up the World Championships in the 80s.

I'm not convinced they make the QFs.

It always amazes me that many of those who claim AV's only successes came due to goaltending then say they want to replace AV with Gallant.

Apparently they are unfamiliar with Gallant's background....

IIHF site says a little different numbers now - still weird, but in a different way. 2 Ds over 20 minutes (Provorov 24, Zadorov 20), 1 over 10 minutes (Ozhiganov 17) and the last 2 Ds with less than 10 minutes played. Not sure whats going on

Canada went 0-9 on the powerplay in a 3-1 loss to Germany.

Canada is incredibly lucky that there is no relegation this year. There is a decent chance they finish last.
