The initial roster comes out sometime later this week.

- F Patrick Kane
- F James van Riemsdyk
- F Chris Kreider
- F Adam Gaudette
- F Frank Vatrano
- D Quinn Hughes
- D Brady Skjei
- G Cayden Primeau (third goalie)

Jack Hughes will probably be there too. I don’t know what will happen on the backend or in net (I’d imagine Jack Campbell will probably end up being their best option who accepts) but they should have a lot of firepower upfront.

Is that on TV anywhere here?

Draft thread is locked, otherwise I'd post this in there.

U18's start today. NHL Network will show all USA games against Sweden, Slovakia, Russia, Lativa, as well as all final games.

@Hollywood Couturier @Beef Invictus — can you unlock the draft thread? I think it was a mistake. Don’t wanna start a new one. Thanks, Internet Chaperones.

I’ll definitely be all over watching u18 games on tape. Gets exhausting though haha.

I will be in Slovakia covering the Flyers players there (and some prospects, maybe a Euro UFA piece too) from the 14th until the end of the tournament. Would be there from the start but in Vienna for a few days beforehand catching up with some good friends.

So if anyone is heading to the tournament let me know and can grab a beer and talk hockey!

I can’t imagine they wouldn’t want him there. I think it’s the other way around.
Maybe. There’s been an opportunity to invite him 5 times and I don’t remember seeing him publicly decline. Maybe he did once when he was younger. Find it hard to believe he wouldn’t do it once. :dunno:

I don’t know. He had a pending contract two years ago, I believe he did publicly decline last year, & this year he did cite a knee injury at his end of the year presser.

The beats here don’t really ask questions about it in general so it’s hard to really get a straight forward answer on it for anybody.

Just amused that Hagg is on the Swedish team.
Might be a good opportunity to see if he can play paired with a mobile partner?
For one thing, it would make him more appealing as trade bait.

Sounds like Gaudreau & Hanifin could be going for the US. Tkachuk’s out as a pending RFA.

Drury’s done a job of not settling as much as previous GM’s have done. Glendening is really the only one so far. Goaltending is what it is, it doesn’t take many no’s to see a drastic drop in quality of options.
