Proposal: Offer sheet Byfield

Bill Armstrong should take his new found money and send a 6 year 7M AAV or 5 year 8M AAV offer sheet to Byfield.
A 1st, 2nd, 3rd in 2025. LA might match but it would hurt a team you are going to be competing with for a playoff spot next year.

What do you do Kings Fans ?

I would be fine with a 6 year $7M deal.

He makes very little sense as an offer sheet candidate. They don’t have a bad cap situation and can match anything comfortably until you get into the territory of draft comp way too high. Lafreniere made way more sense last year but likely scared teams away with a bad playoffs.

Byfield will definitely be of interest and a team I could see doing it.

Fedorovs OS was insane, he ended up getting paid $28 million dollars for 43 games in the first year. (technically only a couple of months; he signed in February and stopped playing in Jun when Detroit won the cup)
