Anyone who has ever seen a cat play with a mouse before it kills it knows cats are sadistic mofo's. They literally play with their food before devouring it.

Few people love cats more than I do but this is the one thing about them that I hate. Kill the damn thing already, no need to torture it.

Yeah Cats are well developed. They can take care of themselves, smart, they can be cute and get food, they can jump, climb, fight, fall from height, you name it.

Yesterday on the flight home I watched the remake of The Lion King and the first scene after the open was Scar toying with a mouse.

OMG we had that exact projector!!!! I remember those film reels too.

**** we're old.

Woodgrain? I got that beat. My father used to do artwork for Polaroid, and back in the early 70's he came home with one of these as a prototype:

Yes, that is real leather! Wish I still had it today, they are going for ~ $400 online.

I remember Tom Lason doing a live commercial at the Garden with the SK-70 and taking a picture of Bobby Orr and 60 seconds later - blank picture

My father had this huge Polaroid it was on accordion like springs so you could fold it down into the carry case attached to it. I was so glad when he got the SX-70 it was a lot easier for me to handle.

Funny enough, my dad used one of those accordion jobs to take pictures of the SX-70 being modeled by my sister. He did the illustrations for the manuals for a lot of Polaroid models (he only did advertising for the original SX-70). As such, we usually got a prototype of each one to play with. We had to swear not to talk about it. Any of the non-photo manuals in the link below are his:

Polaroid SX-70, SX-70 model 3, model 20, Polaroid 110A, polaroid pathfinder 110, polaroid propack, polaroid miniportrait, 150 / 800, Polaroid 250 land camera, Polaroid 330, 320, 95A, 95B, 700, Polaroid J33, J66, 900, Polaroid Pronto, Polaroid Spectra, instruction manual, free user manual, PDF manual

If I remember right the SK-70's battery was actually in the film pack.

Yep. I was an electronics nerd back then, and I would rip open the packs to get the batteries and use them to power . . . stuff. During one afternoon screwing around with them, I came up with what could have been an early version of the Taser. Too bad I didn't patent it.

So today I learned that these two are father and son. I mean, I don't keep up with celebrities in general, but I remember the dad from CHiPs and I know the son was Kirk in the newer Star Trek movies. Just never put two and two together

I remember getting a Polaroid for Christmas one year, early 80s maybe? Still have photo albums full of the pictures, but I think we got rid of the camera unless my mom has it stashed in a box somewhere that I don't know about.

I have been a photographer for 10 years. I regret not learning film cameras.
Old technology in original cameras was groundbreaking.
