I used to get excited about these movies but after the last when Bond clearly retired IDK the direction they look to be heading

Not only that but after filming like 4 movies and making multiple millions of dollars Craig comes out complaining about Bond being Misogynistic

Said the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Not ready for it. Not looking forward to following it again so soon after that craptastic ending to game 7.

Same as with the start of the Sox season....the logical side of me kept telling the fan in me that’s it’s unlikely for a team to repeat or in this case for the cup loser to win it.

Anyone else's towns freaking out over EEE ?

Emergency calls from the town to advise people to stay inside after dusk, etc. School sports are cancelling outdoor evening practices and games. It's crazy.

May be crazy, but still better than having someone die because of practice...

If you're not excited about an upcoming hockey season, you're not a hockey fan. Even a bad hockey season is better than any other sport.

It actually has nothing to do with how last season ended.

My seats got moved this year, I’ve heard nothing but terrible things about the new seats, and I still have “hockey taking over my schedule” fatigue from a long playoff run that I’m still recovering from.

But yeah, you’re totally right. Not a fan at all.

I'll be the first to admit....I'm not quite as starving for hockey yet. I mean, I'm sure I'll be happy when it starts up, but having two months of bonus hockey really puts me off kilter a little bit. It's like if I ordered a pizza yesterday, and a friend invites me out for pizza today - yeah, sure, I'm happy. It's pizza. But I still feel like I need a breather.

Tell that to the young wife here in Grafton who’s young husband contracted EEE. Or their toddler daughter. He’s still in the hospital.

For the first time ever Ireland have reached the number 1 spot in world rugby's ranking system.

The world cup starts in just over a week and while rankings mean nothing in the grand scheme of things, we are hopeful as a nation that our boys can make a good run this time. We have never gotten beyond a quarter final in a world cup, is this the year we finally push on?

Between that and the hockey season starting up, October is going to be a very exciting month.

I ordered some new merch for the new season..

In October of the last two years my wife and I made the trip to Boston to watch the Bruins play and the plan was to head again this October but seeing as my wife will be over 7 months pregnant at that point we concluded it just wouldn't be practical and the saved money will come in very useful for baby related stuff. I was in denial all along thinking I'd still be able to swing it somehow but I've finally accepted it's not going to happen. The silver lining is in a few years time when our daughter will be old enough we will be able to bring her to Boston with us and that will make it even better.

Love the new Bond. The movies however are hit and miss. Casino Royale and Skyfall were phenomenal. I watched Quantum of Solace for the third time recently and I'll admit it's getting better in my mind. Didn't love Spectre but I only saw it once. If they stay in good/bad order this one should be really good.

Good decision. That's also a really good looking zipped hoodie.
@IrishBruinsFan where did you get this one?

Ditto, local and stat
Every cop I know --- local or state ---- has told me they don't even consider stopping someone for speeding if they're either within 10 mph of the limit and/or are going with the flow of traffic.

If you're driving 90+ you deserve to get stopped.
Doing 50 in a 30, you deserve to get stopped.

If you drive 60 - 65 on the highway, you're a bigger danger than those driving 75 - 80.
Ditto, local and state, same words..

I’m not really excited, either.

This has been the second-best decade in the team’s history, but I can’t shake the feeling that they’ve pissed away several golden opportunities since 2010. Maybe they weren’t as good as we thought they were?

The Bruins have done nothing this offseason to make me think they’ve improved substantially. They just kind of stood pat. By contrast, our football team had a draft class that I think will be paying off for years to come - and they won it all last year.

I’m just not feelin’ it this year.
