Anyone going to see Halloween? I love a good slasher and saw a review that said this one is pretty good. I love horror movies that don’t require me believing in some supernatural being. There’s a reason the Texas Chainsaw Massacre holds up, slashers are awesome.

I'll definitely be seeing it. Love the original Halloween movies. With regard to the bolded, I think Michael Myers would actually qualify as supernatural, given that he can't be killed by conventional means at least.

There's a dirty joke I can make and want to but i don't need the thread ban!

There's Now Golden Girls Cereal — Here's Where to Buy It
image

Add a little sass and wisdom to your breakfast!

You can now buy The Golden Girls-themed cereal. The blue, multigrain loops called FunkO’s are sold at Target stores and in a few select online locations, including ToyWiz.com and Mercari.com.

The box depicts the iconic sitcom’s four central characters — Blanche, Dorothy, Sophia and Rose — in an anime-style illustration and boasts a collectible figurine inside. The manufacturer of the cereal, Funko, also makes the toy.

The only acceptable whiskey.

I just finished a bottle of 12 year old from the distillery that I bought after the tour when I was in Dublin at the end of 2015. I milked it as long as I could.

Do you guys do hot toddies over there? ie. Hot whiskey with a mixture of either lemon, honey, cloves, cinnamon etc.. (the recipe varies between different parts of Ireland and Scotland). People swear by it as a cold and flu remedy but then again any cold or flu is going to feel better when you're hammered!

True, maybe he’s just more intimidating and a little more believable. I haven’t seen the originals in a long time but I liked them and even liked the remake that came out 10 years ago.

That’s eliminating like 90% of soups haha.

Baked potato soup
Cheddar broccoli
Butternut squash and apple
Cheeseburger soup
Oh, that's so not true!

Off the bat just what I can cook (and I suck at cooking): fish soup, borsh, meatball soup, pasta drop soup (it's ridiculously Russian, so I do not know the English name), anything red meat based (must include a marrow bone, otherwise it sucks).

Damn, Western cultures lag behind in terms of soups... :naughty:

OK, I found a human sized cocoon decoration. Planning to hand it off the dead tree next to my driveway. I fully intend to get all trick-or- treaters into therapy by the time I'm done.

Opposite problem here. The Bride has hit the hot flashes stage of her life.
Whilst I freeze my ass off.

She has my sympathy & understanding. I went to bed last night underneath sheet, blanket & bedspread. Woke up around 2AM absolutely drenched :shakehead Better to have it happen then/there though. It's really embarrassing when it hits me @ work

I have read about this but I don't know anyone who does it. Sounds like a great idea though.

I've never tried hot toddies, but I've had a ton of success with screwdrivers (vodka and OJ) in the past.

Doctor confirmed a sinus infection. 14 days of antibiotics :/

The good news is that structurally, everything looks great and is working like it is supposed to.

I wish surgery prevented them altogether but alas, it doesn't.
