Not a platoon...Gaston knew they'd walk Sprague and he wanted Maldonado/Reardon instead of Olerud/Stanton

The fact that a Juan Guzman-pitched World Series game took less than 3 hours is a truly amazing feat.

haha what did the clown say now?

He said that all the injuries last year showed that the Jays' high ranking for their farm system was undeserved because all the guys that came up in injury relief looked overmatched and were ineffective, and that's what facilitated Anthopoulos changing his plan/approach from hoarding prospects to dealing them all away for major league talent.

I lost count of all the things that were wrong with his "analysis" of what happened.

Also just saw on the Sportsnet ticker that Don Wakamatsu has joined the pro scout staff of the Yankees.

Zauny's better at picking up high school girls than he is at anything other than in-game analysis.

Edit: Too bad about Waka. I think he was offered a much lower profile job with us but not sure on the exact title.

I did. That's why I asked. Apparently there is no point to what you are saying except that he wasnt perfect. Thanks for the newsflash. He still was an exceptional player and superior fielder who displayed phenomenal range.

You just don't understand I guess.

Never heard anything about what the job would've been, but it seems possible that it was some sort of roving instructor type of deal.

I might change my mind when I see them in person, which is often the case for uniforms and jerseys. As of right now though, it looks like a multi-colour maple leaf hipster hat.

You just don't understand I guess.

He's not alone, which suggests the problem might lie not in the reader, but in the message. He commented how effective White was at snagging deep flies, particularly at making over-the-head catches. He used what he has acknowledged was hyperbole in describing it, and this seems to be what you're hung up on.

But his point remains, White had terrific range, a sure glove and a great vertical, making him one of the most effective defenders of his era, with multiple highlight-reel catches at (and over) the wall to his credit.

To continue to argue the point is simply pedantic.

I wish the blue were darker with a white border around the leaf. I like the use of the new canadian logo from the olympics w the native art.
