1. I own a company and I love my job. your point is plain stupid.

2. there is a difference between a terrible city/state like AZ and Manhattan where it is impossible to live with a family. Normally you go live in the suburb of a great city. the flashy point is plain dumb, who even look for a "flashy city" you look for general quality of life. I live in Montreal suburb but work in metropolitan Montreal, still a great city but I would not live directly in the "heart" of the city.

3. some players, or people who want to win, will play or work for a better and bigger fan-base, better infrastructure, better support, etc, etc..

The classic “I own my own business.” Can’t imagine what that is and likely only employ yourself. The way you handle conflict likely proves no one would want to work for you.

Arizona and it’s suburbs are amazing comparing others. To bag on a team is one thing, to bad talk a state and it’s cities that you’ve likely never been to, is another.

As been shown before though, you have no clue what you’re talking about, anyway.

But it could be - the years of competitiveness, that is, not the rippling lassitude of the current Red Wings and Blackhawks rosters. You think maybe OEL thinks he could be a catalyst for something great? No, of course not, because your narrative is locked in some poisoned funhouse mirror with regards to the market.

OEL and the Coyotes did more winning than most of the league did in the back half of the 2017-2018 season. So I'm not worried about him coasting on his paycheck like other players I could name.
No it couldn't be. Not with the yotes, not in Arizona. I have zero reason to believe thirty years in now is any different. If you do that's great, it's your team so you gotta keep believing, I guess..

9 out of 11 they got are top 15 LMAO this is incredible hahahahahha.

Interesting how you’re doubling down on your opinion after stating something that was so demonstrably false. The difference between 5 and 15 is ten spots, AKA a third of the league.

Well, that's fine. 90% of the hockey world can't be bothered to look at the history of the franchise and get context about it, so part and parcel of being a fan of the Coyotes is living with the fact that we could win the Stanley Cup next year and sell out every game and the usual suspects' opinions wouldn't change an iota.

I do hope the other teams in the league share your point of view, because the last time the other franchises in the NHL so completely dismissed Arizona, we made it all the way to the Western Conference Final before our season ended.

Never Have I ever bashed the City or state. I think it's a great place to live... but it's a terrible Hockey place that's all.
I want to go in AZ and I have friends there, and I do love the weather, still not for hockey though.

Btw I employ more than 20 employees, but nice try.

You really come off as a complete asshole.

I'd much rather live in Phoenix than Montreal. People have differing opinions. Who the f*** are you to say AZ is a shitty state. What an incredibly dumb thing to say.

Whether you want to believe it or not the NHL is a job for these athletes. Some athletes look at raising a family. Some look at what the press is like. Lots of decisions go into it......just like the reason you're in Montreal I'd assume.

It's not the same thing at all. Professional athlete's have very little time in their profession compared to everyday people. He's committing an enormous chunk of that time to a situation where he has no realistic chance to win after already spending years in that same situation. I sure as hell couldn't stomach it.

I'll bet you could if you were making $8mm a year......

Arizona isn't a city. Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, however... clearly you've never been because it's a pretty idyllic place to be for an athlete that plays a fall/winter schedule.

Actually Phx isn't all that nice.I just moved from Az,but the areas around Phx are really nice.Northern Az is beautiful tho.

Coyotes have had a unfortunate arena and ownership issues.Their fans are loyal but Az is not a hockey state. They were ranked during last season 29th in attendance.

From 2005/2006 to the 2008/2009 season were the only times the Coyotes organization reached a average of 14k in attendance and just over 15k in 2005/2006 season.Since it's been between 11k to 13k.

It’s a great place to be when you need to work where from sept to the beginning of April. No worries about snow. Doubt players like OEL stay during the insane summer heat.

As for it as a hockey market. IMO they never had a chance since they moved the jets into a place with a 4 year old new arena and the city had no plans to build another one nor did he coyotes owners have the money to build one themselves.

Then they went ahead and accepted an offer from Glendale and we know how that has worked out.

Supposedly Phoenix would like to build a new building for the suns and coyotes but I understand hat the suns owner wants no part of it because he’s banking on time running out for the coyotes and thus he can end up with the type of dea that the rockets owners got with the Toyota Center and control all of the revenue streams rather than share it. Makes sense for him as the TSRA is still good enough and his lease still has severa years left on it.

But honestly, it’s been 2 decades now and the tune still hasn’t changed from day 1. We need a new arena.... getting old.....

Quit making stupid proposals, then. It's not bull**** if it's true.
Go find a stupid proposal i made. Or should i start lumping every person into the same group when one member of their fambase makes a stupid proposal?

The bullshit volcano just keeps on erupting.

OEL refusing to sign an extension and being dealt at the draft would have been such a terrible blow for a franchise already just barely picking themselves up off of rock-bottom. Very glad to hear that sources close to the team expect Hjalmarsson to agree to an extension before the draft, too. This should go a long way to at least beginning to establish the tiniest bit of credibility as a franchise. The Coyotes can finally have consecutive offseasons without huge steps backward. Or at least they've got a real shot at it. I don't believe that's ever happened. At least not in a very long time.

Great news!
