Except OBJ is one of the few elite receivers in the league and worth the money.
Who is gunna be their QB? Manning is not long for the future. It doesnt matter if you have the WR if you don't have the QB that can get him that ball.
Doesn't matter. Great receivers produce regardless.
But is it worth signing a receiver to what usually amounts to a 3 yr deal if no passers you have are gonna get you anywhere? That's not me saying Eli can't either, but if that's the perception.Doesn't matter. Great receivers produce regardless.
Manning is already a poor starting QB. There's a good chance their next QB will be better than the current version of him rather quickly.
Exactly, see Larry Fitzgerald.
They probably aren't. That would also be true if they didn't give OBJ this big extension. It's not like that money would instead go to some superstar young QB.I mean they still won't win a title the next 6 years so I don't really care.
I agree that Eli is a average to below average QB these days, I disagree that it’s going to be easy for the Giants to get a significant QB upgrade in the first few years of Beckham’s contract.
I thought he wanted to be traded?
As long as he’s not simply split out wide which makes him easier to cover with a safety over the top, you can scheme ways to get him the ball, despite poor QB play. Have to move him around.I never said they would be getting a significant upgrade, I am just saying that replacing current Eli Manning will be not difficult.
Ahh I really shouldn’t believe anything about trade rumors involving stars.Like i said at the time - that was all smoke and mirrors.
It was just a fake story from his camp telling the Giants to ante up and pay him what hes worth. They were never going to move him & for a personality such as his, NYC is the best place to be.
Doesn't matter. Great receivers produce regardless.
