so there needs to be more white people in order to support a team?

And to take that stereotype to its next logical step, why did the Warriors, by every racist account a league that appeals to black fans, leave Oakland. Not enough blacks in Oakland?

Lower average income and lower civic taxes, regardless the ethnicity of the citizens, leaves the population less able to regularly pay pro sports prices to support a team, and a city with less means to appease a team's ever-increasing demands as a condition of staying.

Again, cities dont just keep losing teams. If you want to pretend that Oakland doesn't have any trouble keeping teams then keep thinking it
Again, if you don’t want to read what I’m actually writing that’s your problem.

Again, it’s multiple factors and lumping in teams that were already leaving is silly. Why haven’t you placed any blame on the billionaire owner who has gone into hiding the past 5 years? Everyone knows the city of Oakland has its issues so continuing to drive that point home while ignoring literally everything else isn’t genuine.

Most owners in the mlb despise John Fisher. The A’s are worth a shit ton more than when he bought them and he still would rather financially ignore areas of need just to collect revenue sharing checks.

Yeah, its just a massive coincidence every team in Oakland leaves. Just a bunch of things that would happen no matter what city they were in. Raiders gonna be leaving Vegas in 10 years right?

I don't think city of Oakland is entirely blameless but situations in which Warriors, Raiders and possibly A's were in when they moved are completely different.

If it means leaving behind a debt and getting a new stadium paid for, a Davis will do anything.

They moved from LA in that span. Is LA a shitty sports city, too???

Giants fans often tend to ignore reality when it comes to the A’s.

They should pray to Selig every single day that he didn’t allow their sell and move to St Pete in the 90’s.

LA is very much a shitty sports city, everyone knows that

How did Davis get into debt?

The city of Oakland is still paying on Mt. Davis, which was a condition the Raiders wanted to move back from LA. Davis talks about the Oakland govt not doing anything for his family when the truth is they weren’t willing to bend over backwards for them to stay.

Pertinent info.

A’s and mlb’s pressure worked. Resolution is on the July 20th city council meeting where they already have the majority of support.

Sorry not sorry to all the vultures out there.

It was always going to happen. Mlb and the A’s know they have leverage and majority on the city council.

Of course it was, just doesnt make it any less frustrating that a 12 figure sports league and a 10 figure owner are getting tax breaks/public money.

Especially when that owner got exponentially richer by simply purchasing the team. I know, it’s conflicting bs.
