I'm fine with that for a 40+ point player. He'll be somewhat invisible but should produce fairly well next season.

Perfect guy for a bad rebuilding team. Will put up points and be fun to watch for the casual fan, but will lose the head to head battle with the other team 142% of the time.

I’m a ranger fan and I figured that lol ... trade chip in a few yrs

Zuccarello and Hayes gone this year

Works for me. Spooner and Namestnikov for 2 years and $4M each. Solid depth and hopefully build up some trade value for year #2

Both Spooner and Nametsnikov set to be UFA after these 2-year deals are up

instead of playing against him 4 times a year, it will be 3 times a year. glad he's not in our division anymore as well

Personally I believe he over performed end of last season, so that`s Spoon news. :D
Besides Rangers need a right sided defender with a top 4 potential, because I doubt we will see one in the next year draft so I will throw it out here! :)

I'm fine with two years. Probably not part of the long term when the team should be really ready to compete again yet allows them to possibly trade him to a competitor at the deadline if he puts up numbers like he did toward end of the season.

16 points in 20 games with us. Nice
Like Namestnikov, obvious eventual trade chip. We did well in the Nash+Holden trade (Spooner, Lindgren, 26th overall which was traded, 3rd round pick that I believe became Joey Keane, Beleskey 50% retained)
