Voted for Skapski because he had a good season in juniors.

How did Neck Slab get drafted this year, but Skapski got drafted last year, considering Neck Slab is older by a month?

You retain draft eligibility for several years after you turn 18. Nejezchleb had a lot of injuries in prior years, which explains his limited exposure.
