Why did they phrase it like that? Wouldn't "Director of Player Personnel and Amateur Scouting" be a better way to say it?

Leave poor Jay F. Hicks, director of digital content, alone. He's not a professional writer like Uncle Larry. Sheesh.

If they keep the same front office structure, he could be the Gordie Clark replacement with Moorehouse (north america) and Boborov replacement (europe) working under Lilley.

Our next first line center has to come from somewhere.
If you are alluding to a potential trade to obtain one, I agree that makes more sense. I should have clarified I don’t see the Rangers landing there due to our record.

The Leafs haven't picked a lot of Americans since he was named Director of U.S. Scouting. Keep in mind he was in the smaller office. Canadian teams don't like to pick college players because if they're good they just wait four years and sign with the Rangers.

I love this hire. I forgot where I read/heard it as it was a couple years ago. Might have been a podcast, but it talked about how Toronto is doing some revolutionary stuff in player/skills development. Happy to get some of that knowledge over here.

I’m just going to assume that he got the job because he has connections to BU and go along with my day. Don’t even know if he went there, just assuming that he did.
