Not sure I understand why it was 2 years and not 1. (not that it really matters financially or towards the cap, but seems this is the type of 1 year, potential call up move only.) Did somebody tell Drury there's an expansion draft at the end of the season.

I think they purposely do this so a guy clears waivers for sure
