Keane was very likely not going to find a spot on the roster and i wasnt always completely sold on his defense at the pro level.

We just added a good forward prospect which the pipeline is lacking after Kravstov and Morgan.

This was a hockey trade, and a good one for both teams.

On the surface, this to me signifies at least in the short term that DeAngelo isn't going anywhere.

Would have to imagine the team is going to look at building some long term RD depth in the system with this summer's draft, with guys who are 3-5 years out potentially
