Look I think Nylander gets signed (and probably traded) but this level of naivete by Dubas is pretty funny.

Tavares. Nylander. Marner. Matthews. Can the Maple Leafs really keep all four?

The cap will not go up enough, no matter how much the gambling money cut may be, to cover what these four guys plus whatever insane number Reilly gets on his next deal. Something has to give.

Not a Leafs hater at all so if he manages to get it done, he should be the GM of the year in 2020.

What he should have done is give a stock and cliche answer like the other 30 GMs would have. They’re cliches for a reason.
