I would like to apologize...i brought up Slavin in jest, but after being off on a "leave of abscence" from this site for a month, i forgot how testy it gets here.

For the record, i know the Canes wouldn't move Slavin...nor should they.

I think that's a tad bit much there...Slavin would get moved for plenty of D men one for one. Hedman, Ekholm, Karlsson come to mind off the top of my head.

Slavin is better than Ekholm, Carolina would not trade a young 1D for Karlsson due to age. Hedman I agree (that one year matters especially with Karlsson's injuries)

There's plenty of young superstars in the league that are much more valuable than Slavin. You already know who they are so I'm not going to list them all just so you can disagree. Slavin is great, but you're insanely overating him here.

Have to think if it’s Nylander only in a trade, they would get back a player or players with salary less than roughly $6M IMO.

That’s why he’s not signed. Purely money.

I honestly don’t think the leafs will trade Nylander at all. It’s just that usually whatever HF says, the complete opposite happens
