I haven't done these (wacky things) for a while, so why not. Here goes...

...How about William Nylander for Shea Theodore
Tor re-signs Theodore, Vgk re-signs Nylander.

Toronto seems to be quite fine without Nylander (have won every single preseason game)
Toronto would get exactly what they'd need and that be;Shea Theodore.

Vegas having future stars Brannström&Hague for coming to the D,
(even thou Schmidt did got that 20) trading Theodore wouldn't
be a problem, especially if the player coming to Vegas would be William Nylander.

What say you?, both say no, this could work, another leafs relates thread? <sheesh>

I’d do it, Leafs are not going anywhere with their D. Maybe a small plus on Vegas’ end tho

Theodore was literally available for free last year.

he wasn't given away either. he was traded to vegas along with stoner in exchange for anaheim being able to protect their defenders from being exposed.

agreed, he was given away to keep better players, much like any other player exposed to waivers.

Nope that's a bad deal for the leafs. Theodore is a LHD and we have rielly(who is much better) along with dermott(top 4 defender soon),Gardiner (for this year atleast) and sandin(a potential top 4 defender in the left side) . Theodore is redundant for us and even value wise nylander would not be dealt for theodore. Would need a better defender coming back on the right side.

he was sacrificed, not given away and if you think theodore is much like other players exposed to waivers, you are deluding yourself.

Keep spreading this misinformation dude.

Ignore that Vegas' Anaheim selection was Clayton Stoner, selected because Anaheim traded Theodore to Vegas as incentive. And even if that weren't the case, Theodore wasn't on the free agent market or waived, so no, he wasn't available for free. I don't know why you keep saying that. But keep showing how much you know about Anaheim's assets.

Players traded as expansion draft incentives are not the same as waivers. Anaheim would never have waived Theodore. It was between him, Vatanen, and Montour for who to get rid of. Anaheim needed to protect players they felt were more NHL ready at the time. You're trying to spin a wild narrative to suggest Theodore has no value. You're wrong.
