and you get one and you get one AND YOU GET ONE!!!
Five seems like a lot, but maybe this works for them? Wish them luck, should be a sweet team in a few years.
Out of all the people on that list think Kreider really earned that "A". He is turning into a more two way forward and think that really shows a lot. Was blocking shots in pre-season (yeah kinda silly) but little stuff like that goes a long way.
No reason for Staal or Zibenejad to have an A.
If they were handing them out like candy, you'd like Lundqvist would get one...
Only reason its 5 is because they don't want to take an A from staal. He doesnt deserve it anymore.
Any guesses on which guys jimmies they didn't want to rustle?
5 alternates doesn't seem enough. 23 would be optimal.
A team can only designate 3 alternates per game, no? They just plan on rotating?
The alternating alternates.
I don't think the "A" for Staal stands for Alternate Captain.
Clearly Staal. Don't want to strip him of it.
I imagine Staal will keep it every game and then two will be away Alternates and two will be home Alternates.
a clear vote of no confidence from management
And together they form like Voltron to create one worthy captain.
**** I missed a golden opportunity to use a Power Rangers slam. Well that’s what we can call them I guess.
Thaaaaas 3 too many alternate captains
When did Oprah get a gig with NYR hockey ops? Nice.
Not surprised they're going to go without a captain. I'd rather wait for an actual captain to emerge than slap it on the best non-goalie player and hope it magically turns them into a type of person they've never been prior.
They need to grow a pair and strip Staal already.
The choice between the other four would be very hard.
They should just give Staal the "C". So then he would be traded to Tampa.
Staal is the only permanent one for all 82 games. The rest are split for away and home games. They have 3 at all times.
It's the trendy thing to do.
Zuccarello should be the captain.
What's with the big wedding party?
It kind of sounds like Staal is essentially the captain with the way this is working out.
What is this "no captain" schtick teams are going with?
Separate names with a comma.
