That looks like an awful deal for the Knicks. They have to get Durant and at least one other star this summer with the cap room they just created. Even then, they likely could've dumped salary without giving up Porzingis.
Got a good young piece out of it, while clearing out $30 million in cap space for next off-season. Porzingis' value isn't as great because of the injury.
Dennis Smith Jr should do well in New York.
You gotta wonder if the Knocks get the first overal pick plus pick up a free agent star this offseason...they can compete in the moderate East.
There have been numerous reports of players wanting to play in New York next year. KD, Butler come to mind immediately. Even Kyrie seems reasonable now. The possibility of players teaming up there strengthens that likelihood.
