The average current placement of the teams from both groups isn’t wildly different (17.42 vs 17.75).

That’s quite a crazy turnaround in performance from 1 line shuffle.

Is this a big outlier of 4 games? Or can they continue this?

There’s a hot top line that can’t keep up this pace.

But, some changes definitely have the potential to be sustainable. The 4th line since Berglund joined has been extremely impressive. Girgs doesn’t quit, I think Larsson knows how close he was to losing his job, and Berglund from all accounts is extremely professional.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they won't continue to be unbeaten in regulation for the foreseeable future.

    ;)

The question is how long does this hot streak continue before things slow down and Housley shuffles the lines again.

I think the biggest shift in this team the last four games has been the mindset. This is not the Sabres team of old. This team battles and shows heart. I don't expect us to suddenly become world beaters overnight, but I do think that turnaround itself should be enough to sustain some of the recent success for the long-term.

Why? They are winning without him. The "4th" line looks great. Why screw that up right now?
