For those with an Athletic subscription there was a good article about Nichushkin today.

Seems like a down to earth guy and we learned that he and Zadorov played with each other as kids.
It really was a great article. Seems like an absolute mutant in the gym too.

Also.... Z isn’t going anywhere. He’s good people. It’s guys like him that keep the dressing room together. Plus he obliterates humans on the ice. The fact that he’s shutting down every star player he sees over the last few weeks helps too

Nuke is a great comeback story. I hope he wins the Masterton ( but I don’t know if there are more worthy candidates).

While I understand that the scoring is temporary, I hope we re-up him for 2 more years.

I think Nuke was so desperate to get that first goal he was just throwing everything on net right away. No that he's got that monkey off his back he's showing a little more creativity and patience.

Case and point was his goal against Calgary.

2018 Nuke would have gotten an easy pad save.

2019 Nuke waited it out and placed it perfectly.

i can't begin to tell you how much i love this dude. if we loose him, i'll miss it more than my "shift" key that has apparently shit the bed.

Better skater though..

He might also be Bednar's secret weapon. He hasn't put him on a scoring line yet, but gives him 17 minutes.
