For those with an Athletic subscription there was a good article about Nichushkin today.

Seems like a down to earth guy and we learned that he and Zadorov played with each other as kids.

It really was a great article. Seems like an absolute mutant in the gym too.

Also.... Z isn’t going anywhere. He’s good people. It’s guys like him that keep the dressing room together. Plus he obliterates humans on the ice. The fact that he’s shutting down every star player he sees over the last few weeks helps too

Case and point was his goal against Calgary.

2018 Nuke would have gotten an easy pad save.

I love how much chaos he creates along with the rest of that checking line. They are responsible defensively, but when they get into the offensive zone they just hem people in with constant pressure.
