Can we all just agree to keep him and have him stapled to either McDavid or Draisaitl's wing?

We really should. IMO the internal growth of Jesse and Yamamoto will be huge for our club and in the case of the latter he has a cheap ELC for 3 seasons.

RNH-McDavid-Puljujarvi
Lucic-Draisaitl-Yamamoto

Jesse compliments his linemates well since he has the size and shot required to play with them.

Yamamoto gives Drai a highly skilled offensive player to help carry Looch.

Nah, gotta keep him away from those players until the season is lost and we need to showcase him to increase his value.

Just think, if we tank a few more years we could draft a Hall/RNH level talent.

Just Robidas Island Lucic and wait for the next lockout for a compliance buyout, and give someone like JJ Khaira a shot. Someone whose actually played their a** off despite half these sad sack of losers have already given up.

A bonus with retaining RNH is that if god help us, an injury befalls McDavid/Draisaitl, he can fill in as the 2C, and adds a great deal of flexibility to our lineup. That's a player absolutely worth 6 million dollars and the type of player you can win with. If Snow somehow cons Chiarelli into giving up RNH for yet another Islanders top 5 bust (MDC), I'll be livid.

That would be a new low even for Chia. At least Strome is a NHL player. Nuge is younger, better and plays a more important position than Eberle as well as coming off a better season, there is no chance that all that he'd return is Dal Colle.

BTW-I keep hearing about Robidas island, what does that mean? Did the Leafs just send Robidas home because he had a NMC and sucked?

Nah they buried him on the LTIR with a "knee injury" and paid him to stay home.

Not surprised to see Nuge classified as a "shooter" by any analysis. Shooting has been his best tool for some time now.

Very cool tool actually. The results make a lot of sense if you go through other teams.

Robidas Island is basically a term for burying a player with an excuse that not only keeps them off a roster but also off the salary cap. Nathan Horton, Joffrey Lupul, and Marian Hossa are some other examples.

Horton is a little different because his back is legitimately f***ed. I don't think he wants to play again given his health.

Lupes and Hossa for sure.
