The puck moving is whatever. He's a mobile 3rd paring right shot d man that can replace EJ for less than half the cap hit and produce similar results

3rd in 2025 doesn't move the needle much. Have to think Nashville would get betters offers at 50% retention given his play so far this season. And if not, they might as well keep him until next deadline.

I mean who knows? It's possible he is flipped but you won't see any deal coming out of Nashville that is 50% retention, especially not for a 3rd 3 years down the road.

The 4% on Ekholm today was the first retention we have done since we traded Dubnyk to the Wild years ago.
