I’m still shocked Vitek was pulled when we weren’t even losing.

It needed to happen though.
I can’t remember the last time that happened (barring injury a la Cory on Opening Night in the Winnipeg fiasco) since Pete pulled Marty at 3-3 in the Game 3 meltdown against the Panthers.

Yes, that was exactly what I was thinking.

I clearly remember that game and that was right in my head the entire time, but didn't feel like rehashing Marty vs Cory 10 years later.

I'm pretty sure the game was actually 4-3 when Marty was pulled, because Cory didn't allow a goal and Marty got credit for the win, much like Vitek got credit for last night's win because Schmid didn't allow a goal and the game winner was scored when Vitek was still in the net.

New belt tensioner and radiator hose on my (mostly) daily driver 2010 Rav4 this morning. Now I'm all ready to go to Sunrise in 2.5 weeks.

Swore it was the alternator, as this thing has almost 164k miles and it's the original. Took me a bit to diagnose as the belt tensioner.

Got up extra early and fixed that this morning. Can't even hear the thing running from more than a few feet away anymore.

This is my first front wheel drive vehicle I've ever owned and first 4 cylinder as well and working on the rear wheel drives (where the engine doesn't sit sideways) is extremely easy. I learned at a young age that mechanics cost too much money. Worst case scenario I've had friends help me when I've needed help with things. I can't afford to pay mechanics. This was a pain in the ass and I had massive anxiety completing this job, due to the goofy sideways engine set up.

I also have taken it upon myself to figure out plumbing and the like, since I've been a homeowner. I can't afford $1000-$2000 dollar service bills. I'd be leasing or making payments on something brand new and trading it in every 3-4 years if I didn't know how to fix things myself.

I'm not quite an HVAC specialist, so I had to have a friend help me with that. He's not an HVAC specialist either, but he's a master of all trades.

I'm much less stressed now and don't have to worry about taking the f-250 down to Sunrise and spending hundreds on gas.

I'm all ready for another f***in win in Sunrise in 2.5 weeks, as well as Tampa the next night.

Most 4 cylinders are sideways. Because of the shape, it's a waste of space to put it otherwise.

Also, as a night owl, I learned an important rule when doing my own plumbing... Don't do the work in the middle of the night when all the plumbing stores are closed.

Yup

This is my first 4 cylinder/front wheel drive vehicle I've ever owned, though I've had it 13 years now since brand new. I've always had trucks (8 cylinder) and still have a 99 F-250 with like over 100k more miles than this Rav4 (like 277k or something) has on it.

I don't put many miles on it anymore, as I just go to work or to a couple friends who live locally.

Or to Sunrise once/twice a year lol or Tampa which isn't far.

I liked the symmetry of “1-0” and “7-5” wins against the defending champs. Pick your game and we will beat you at it.

Not sure if your double post was on purpose or not, but I'm gonna pretend it was because it just feels right haha.

I constantly double post on here and have to go right back and edit and delete the double post.

Even if that one hadn't counted, he still needed to be pulled. I'm sure you agree that more than one of his goals against were unacceptably soft, even if that particular one wasn't.

Adding in the 2-3 posts the Avs hit, Vanecek was beat clean way more than he should have been.
Yes, he was horrible.

I didn't think the first goal was that bad, I know some people didn't like it. It was a one timer and was high stick side (I think?) and usually I don't nail the goalie on that one, unless he's in position for it and it goes through him or if it's from REALLY FAR out, like even further than that was.

Goals 3 and 4 were both BAD goals. Goal 3 was a really weak one right through I think the 5-hole and goal 4 is a wrister (not one timed) from the circles that should be hitting the goalie. And I think that might have even went through him, but regardless that's a stoppable one anyway.

I think the fact that he got beaten on his first shot faced (I think that was the first shot?) of the period in a game where he was already looking terrible and the post hits was really just an alarm to get him out of there.

Some of the post hits were on shots he should have had, but I try not to dissect post hits, as every goalie gets those breaks.

My gas guzzler Challenger 392 stays covered for most of the NJ winter. Everyday driver is usually front wheel drive and 4 cylinder. Camry has a V6 got almost 37 to 39 MPG while cruising at 65.

I think Xigon still likes Bratt here, too. I only know of 1 or 2 dedicated Bratt detractors here.

We all love Bratt.......................(assuming he re-signs with us :sarcasm::sarcasm:)
yeah, I wasn’t really saying anything negative towards Bratt. I just posed a question that’s based on the observation that Nico and Jack have seemingly had worse individual performances when playing with Bratt so far this season. For Jack’s part, it’s most likely due to his coming off an injury or maybe Sharangovic not being able to convert on anything, but for Nico? I guess they just don’t mesh as well. I’m just hoping Jack turns it around. :D

Horizontally opposed AWD gang, here.

I love this time of year when big ass RWD trucks get stuck in parking spots and I dunk on them in my 180 hp ass Subaru.
