Accurate quote from the coach “we don’t sense danger”, you can see when goals against are going to be scored... everyone standing still waiting for someone else to do something.
Caines had an OK game, wish he would take it to the net more instead of 100 miles an hour to nothing. At least draw a penalty like last night.
Russell and Moncada both showed of their shots last night, gaudreau had no chance on them and then a tough one against Paul Christopoulos cross crease. He will be great for them, did not look like a true rookie goalie. Then they turn around and score on a snap shot from just inside the blue line.

Coe had a tough game, he might struggle without Moncada working his bag off for him. Coe does a great job at finding open men in offensive zone but outside of that it’s really hit or miss.

Officiating out of control again tonight. I could be bias but the Christopolous slew-foot looked an awful lot like he was trying to control the puck.
It took long enough to call the Colts for whacking Vrbetic after every save.

Rookie Joe Vrbetic 41 save shutout didn’t get a star in the game. First star.... CHAD DENAULT. Classic!

Nice to see Joe V put together a nice back to back. Win some games, enough to end happy but still pick no lower than 1st. Win win.

Don’t know the details of what actually killed the Battalion-Voodoos affiliation but there are several skilled players for Powassan that would have been interesting to see rotating in and out of here for a few games at this time of year. Powassan seems to make much more sense than going all the way to Pembroke. On days when the Voodoos weren’t playing but the Troops were, there would be nothing to lose in trying some of them out - worked out pretty good in the Vrbetic case.
