Tuned into the Twins game around the 6th inning... and this game has been crazy. I hadn't watched more than an inning or so all year.
Twins rally in the 7th, which ends with Dozier running halfway towards home before a pitch to draw a balk for the lead. Then the benches clear twice (and we're not even sure over what still). Escobar was ejected after the second one.
The Rays rally after a super lucky check-swing infield single to take the lead in the 8th.
Twins score two more to take the lead in the 8th and should have had more (replay challenge that looked like the runner was clearly safe at home, but they call him out - shocker).
And now the Rays just came back to tie it in the 9th.
The Rays have used 8 pitchers, while the Twins have used 7. No surprise this game is at 4 hours, 10 minutes and counting.
If baseball was as exciting as these past few innings, it wouldn't be in the current popularity rut.
