What about Dumoulin? Top 4 dman that was a huge part why the pens won the cup without Letang. Of course having two generational centers help, but he was a huge part of their team.
I would try really hard for Dumoulin, such an under rated Defensive D, he is on the first pair years after years for a reason.

he does have a heavy contract though

Poor kid. Sad . He's gonna be missed for a long while.

But it is solving a problem for MB.... Habs have 7 healthy d-men, 8 with Weber back soon.

Sucks that a thin defence is now thinner with him out. Overall I have been happy with his play.

I hope he recovers soon. I think Magic Mike xxl has an opening. But if you are talking about his return to the habs then I have no clue.
lol Just read an article from Eric Engels, and he seems to think NJ will not be out very long, as he did not require surgery.

The article also says, the Habs could possibly waive Alzner!! Let's see if MB has the stones, to fix his own stupid mistakes...

Watch ARIZONA's....

On first thought, I would agree. But I do tend to look at the NHL standings from time to time to see who ranks best in Goals Against and I was very surprised to see the Coyotes ranked 2nd with 51 goals allowed (Preds are first with 50). Habs are 28th with 75 goals allowed.

This defies logic! lol

We gonna miss him, he is pretty great D for his young age. Him and Weber make ur D core better, but without them... the D core are pretty awful with Benn, Alzner, Schlemko...

He's great but these injuries are concerning. He missed practically the first half of last year and has been sidelined this year like it's every day business. Luckily they're not recurring injuries but I'm afraid they're hindering his development. Too bad because he is an exceptionally good dman for his age.

When Juuls comes back, who sits?

Benn or Schlemko please.

The interesting question is who gets waved? Peca, Deslauriers, Hudon, Ouellet, Benn, or Schlemko?

My choice would be Deslauriers. My money's on ... I don't know hard to know management's mentality. On the one hand I know they want to go with 8 dmen. On the other had that means they'll have to waive a 2nd additional forward when Armia returns. But I would personally waive D-lo and Ouellet, waiving Peca leaves us thin at center if he gets picked up. Although we do have Evans, Froese, and McCarron in Laval in case of injury.

Great news, I imagine Ouellet gets waived, he's clearly lost his spot to Kulak.

Looking forward to Mete and Juulsen replacing Benn and Schlemko...

I hope Julien focuses on getting Reilly and Kulak confident and effective. Sometimes that involves benching, but sometimes teaching and playing through mistakes. I fear we may see more Benn and Schlemko and less Reilly and Kulak than we'd like.
