Hudon and a 3rd for either:

-a PP specialist(F or D)
-a second pairing LD
-a winger for the Domi line

Obviously some of these needs can transfer over one another. I do think a PP specialist is the way to go. Those kinds of players who 5on5 are not the best but excel on the PP can be had in trades, especially wingers. We are great 5on5 and can easily shelter that player, who would hopefully provide the missing ingredient to the puckhandling/zone entries on the powerplay.

It would have to be such a player with flaws for what you have to offer because you're not getting a 2nd pairing LD or a RW for the Domi line with that offer.

We got another game coming up against the Sens next Sat. Keep the momentum going till then. If only we could play the Sens every game.

Byron + Weber 8 points total since they both came back.

I seriously dont know how engineering students do it. I was taking sciences last year and I'm taking kinesiology this year. I'm still undecided on what I want to do, but I know I'm interested in something along those paths. I'm still going to be taking all my sciences next year, I'm just using this year for kinesiology.

It was just a means to an ends for me. Always liked the science, but never liked the career prospects. I changed branch as soon as I finished, thankfully.

I know I wouldn't ever put my life on the backtrack again just to get to a career objective faster. And I certainly get the feeling of being undecided on what to do.

That was my biggest fear with sciences. It's why I decided to branch out. I still get to take the courses I like because they definitely relate(anatomy and bio for instance).

You could always branch out in med school and come work at a 500K salary in Montreal. All it costs, basically, is having a life - nothing the average HFer isn't already wasting being here.

I think 4 is the sweet spot. Are you taking 5 again next term?
No damn way. I have to work, as I live in an apartment and still have things to pay off. It's just not possible, add to that that I am taking courses in mathematic/physics/chemistry and I'm not familiar at all with those fields and I just can't.

I always did consider going back to montreal. However, I always seem to think about US schools. Too bad the international fee is brutal.

I like chem and bio. I cant stand calculus. Heres a funny story about my calculus course. In my first term I had to take calculus at the university level. I felt so confident about my first midterm because I was quite familiar with it. The day of the midterm came and the section before mine was wrapping up. It was the first time in my life that I saw someone cry after an exam as she was walking by me. Didnt help that my smart friend said that it was the hardest exam of his life.

I still have nightmares about that exam.

I sadly think were on the extreme of HFers

It's not so bad. The alternative would be spending time with my girlfriend and kid, which no chance of that happening.

How much is it now ? 60 000 $ with tuition+boarding ? I don't even get how you can get approved for a loan for that, wouldn't someone need a 250 000$ credit line just to get through an undergrad program.

I used to crap on Byron. He's great. I would still trade him for a 1st, if we are falling apart and outside a playoff spot. He's pretty, pretty pretty good.

I think everyone who gets into a science undergrad has their "welcome to university" moment. Like, looking at the first page of your exam, then the 8 other and coming to the realization that you legitimately can't answer any of them.

I'm in the exact same situation. Never again.

Five courses and 20ish hours of work. Plus the gym, I'm dead.

I finally managed to get down to 32 hour weeks instead of full-time like I've been doing for the past 3-4 years. The extra day off helps so much it's incredible.

Sometimes I miss the student life and being at University and College, but then I read posts like this (and others) and remember how stressful and busy it was. Then I remind myself that I just miss the parties and good times with friends, which I still enjoy (to a lesser extent of course) now that i'm out.

The grind was well worth it though.

Literally me on my calculus mid term. Jeez that totally blindsided me.

I also took the introductory biology course, thinking it was going to be the same as the one given in CEGEPs.

Welp, nope.

TBH I enjoy it, so far. Ive enjoyed my semester, but these last two weeks are rough. Like really rough.

Couldve been better prepared, too. I somewhat slacked out. Oh well, I did learn from it at least.

lol.

I remember that moment when I realized weeks 1 and 2 were a review of everything we learned in CEGEP, only more in depth. And that every week would have as much course material.
