Interesting that they're being grouped so much. Also very telling that the Penguins are using them the absolute least amount of times possible.

I'm really hoping the Penguins don't **** this opportunity up and just give the fans what they want. The amount of money this team would make on bringing back those 1980-92 designs would be absurd.

don't they already sell them though? I know I have one. I know they'd sell more, but since they already sell some as is, I think they'll make more money with something different.

They do sell them...but they're the vintage ones and the only person people are going to buy with that is Lemieux...and vintage jerseys don't really sell that much. The navy blue fauxbacks sell way more than the vintage ones do.

I want that design with Sid or Geno on it. I'm not being 'that guy' and putting a player's name on a jersey he never wore.


And I would love the all-golds.

I didn't like the uniform choice for the 2011 classic, I thought at Heinz Field the Pens should have went with their early 90's Stanley Cup uniforms.

I think they haven't had thirds similar to the early 90's jersey because of Mario. He doesn't want the team to reminisce over the early 90's nor make it seem like everything is about that team and him. Mario wants it to be about the team right now.
