Great trade for Lakers. Three 1sts is a lot but at least one of those should be very low and they had to go all in.

Pelicans get a lot of stuff and potential but I'm not really sure about any of those guys. Still, those are a number of young assets for Griffin to work with now and we don't know what the protections on the picks are yet.

edit: After seeing the info on the picks, Griffin did really well here. Who knows how it turns out but having those future unprotected pick swaps could be huge.

this is a great trade for the pels. although weren't they offered the same package at the deadline which also included kuzma and turned it down? lols

they get lonzo who is staying healthy and a scoring touch away from being a perennial AS and ingram who was really showing his true potential last season before the blood clots. not to mention #4 in this year's draft that can be turned into garland

if this doesn't help the lakers land a big name FA then nothing will

Lakers gave up a lot but also got by far the best player in the deal; one of the best, if not the best, big man in the NBA. AD was going to leave the Pelicans anyway, so they got a good return to rebuild the franchise. It's a trade that could work for both teams.

So it finally happened. Cool. Can't wait for AD's return to New Orleans, should be a nationally televised game.

Also can't wait for the fathers reaction now that his son is going to New Orleans, hope he bought a winter coat

That's alot to give up to maybe be a playoff team next year in the west. The Lakers have 0 depth now.
