In the post game interviews the only things the players talk about are the positives, an absolute focus on the few things they do right. When reporters ask about issues all you get out of them is "well yeah we have to be better at that". Lewis, like Blashill happened during a transition period.

Lewis: Yzerman/Fedorov to Datsyuk/Zetterberg were none of them were quite elite anymore/yet.

Blashill: Datsyuk/Zetterberg to yikes.

The big difference is that even though it was a transition, Lewis' teams were still among the most talented in the league and had that Lidstrom fellow.
